COMIC CON CARNE

Went to the COMIC CON and was finally privvy to seeing a mass of ED, EDD n' EDDY fans...here in VANCOUVER nobody knows what the heck I'm talking about when I mention the show--as Canadian TV programming is half-assed at best. (unless you count Littlest Hobo reruns, then it's frikkin' GREAT) I reckon the other highlight was meeting ART CLOKEY-creator of GUMBY, who was there with his son as part of GUMBY's 50th anniversary...

On the GUMBY panel, the question was posed "WHY CLAY?" to which ART replied "WELL....I DUNNO" I couldn't have hoped for a better answer...I certainly don't need some long winded explanation detailing the subleties of an artistic decision which resulted in one of animations big names. I'm stoked just to watch GUMBY in action.
Also lucky was I to meet with that wicked caricaturist MARLO who was nice enough to capture me forever....

I just hope and pray that the drawing I did for her was used to soak up the grease under a meal of FISH & CHIPS, or somehow passed through the digestive tract of a large mountain goat, as it was indeed one of my crappier efforts. Also cool was it to meet KATIE RICE whom expressed her appreciation of ED, EDD n' EDDY in a world of mostly crap animation (crapimation for short) I was unable to converse with ol' JOHN K. as I just missed him...

Anyways, that was the CON...in other news, us aka'ers were lucky enough to catch a sneak preview of the new BORAT movie, and I will say it is the most funny thing I've seen in who knows how long....I can't wait to see it again, let me tell you.
